Kaiko Acquires Leading European Crypto Index Provider Vinter in Major Expansion Move

Kaiko, a Paris-based blockchain analytics firm, has acquired Vinter, one of Europe largest crypto index providers for ETP issuers, as part of its goal to become a global leader in crypto market data and indices.

Kaiko, a prominent blockchain analytics firm headquartered in Paris, has announced the acquisition of Vinter, a major European crypto index provider, in a deal aimed at expanding Kaiko’s offerings within the growing digital asset industry. Though the transaction amount was not disclosed, Kaiko CEO Ambre Soubiran confirmed it is the company’s third and largest acquisition to date, reinforcing Kaiko’s position as a global leader in crypto data and index services.

Founded in Europe, Vinter provides index data to several high-profile crypto exchange-traded product (ETP) issuers, including 21Shares. The acquisition comes at a time of rapid growth in regulated crypto financial products, particularly crypto derivatives, ETFs, and ETPs. Vinter’s extensive experience in the asset management sector positions Kaiko to broaden its reach and provide enhanced services to a global client base.

“With Vinter, we’re excited to offer an expanded suite of trusted data solutions for the global market,” said Soubiran. Last year alone, Kaiko’s reference rates saw over $4 billion in futures settlements. Through this acquisition, Kaiko aims to establish itself as the foremost provider of crypto market data and indices worldwide.
